Interior Styling by B is an Interior Decoration consultancy, servicing Residential and Commercial projects, specialising in Colour Design. Our services include full Interior Decoration services, Colour Consulting and Property Styling.

By matching the design (furnishings, fixtures and finishes) to your budget, we can help take the stress out of the project. After an initial consultation, including evaluating your property, we can then produce a design to reflect your needs, tastes and budget.

Bernadette Smith is a qualified Interior Decorator & Colour Consultant who has a Certificate IV in Interior Decoration from Brisbane North Institute of Tafe. She is currently a member of QIDA (Queensland Interior Decorators Association).

About Bernadette
Returning to the workforce after having a family, Bernadette decided on following a career change and undertook study as an Interior Decorator. After qualifying, Bernadette began working as an instore Colour Consultant with Inspiration Paint at their Newmarket and Kedron stores in Brisbane, assisting customers with their colour queries and yes, even mixing paint. They soon determined that she understood colour and very quickly she was not only assisting customer in-store, but also onsite helping clients and professional painters find the right colour combinations for their projects.

With a couple of years’ experience and a growing reputation within the industry, Bernadette was approached by Dulux to become part of their Colour Design Service. Since then, she has been involved in providing colour and interior decoration advice on a wide range of project from single units to Body Corporates, the full spectrum of houses including Ashgrovian and large Queenslanders, Childcare centres, Educational facilities, Aged Care Homes, Industrial Units and Hotels throughout not only the greater Brisbane area, but throughout regional Queensland. Apart from being directly engaged with customers herself, she is also often consulted by other design professionals to provide colour and interior advice on their client’s projects.
While she spends the majority of her time these day onsite with clients, if you time it right, you will still find her working in-store at Inspirations Newmarket & Kedron providing colour advice, although the other staff do most of the mixing these days.
